The illustrations, which include the story as carved on four stone capitals in the Cathedral of Autun in Burgundy by Gislebertus, are from photographs by Franceschi and Ben Herb, and are taken from "Gislebertus, sculptor of Autun," the definitive study by Denis Grivot and George Zarnecki.
