The Ocean and the Cross is a work that delves into the life and work of twelve Jesuit missionaries whose evangelizing work profoundly marked the destinies of peoples and cultures throughout the world during the 16th and 17th centuries. Edited by theologian José García de Castro and historian Wenceslao Soto, and with a prologue by Pedro Llobell, this book constitutes a historical, theological, and spiritual meditation on the meaning of mission in the Society of Jesus and its realization in individual lives. |
